About the Event
On December 29th, cadets from 2573 had the opportunity to visit a bridge building exercise being conducted by 39 Combat Engineer Regiment. The cadets witnessed ACROW, Medium-Girder Bridge, and Pontoon bridges being constructed. The cadets got to participate in lifting some bridge parts and got to experience the teamwork required to construct bridges. The cadets also had the opportunity to see the logistics that go on behind the scenes to enable the bridging exercise to happen. This included visiting vehicle maintenance, the command post, and the exercise medical centre. It was a cold and snowy day, but the cadets had a great time seeing what being a combat engineer is all about!
