CADET APPLICATIONS

What do I need to join?

​

  • Must be 12 years old and not have turned 19 years old

  • Must be a legal resident of Canada (citizen, permanent resident, landed immigrant, refugee, or student visa)

  • Be medically and physically fit to complete training (able to go on hikes with a backpack, run, etc)

​


How do I sign up?

​

  • Come visit us on a Tuesday evening at 6:30 PM

  • We will speak to you and your parents about what the program is all about - we suggest you plan to stay until 9:15 PM as we will have you sit in on classes so you can see what goes on

​


What do I need to bring when I sign up?

​​

  • Proof of medical insurance (Medial Services Plan and Personal Health Number is preferred, but private is accepted)

  • Government issue identification to prove age (birth certificate, passport, provincial ID, etc)

  • Proof of legal residence (non-citizens only)

  • A parent or guardian to meet with the corps staff and to sign additional forms.

  • Click here for the online application

  • Type in 2573 to find our unit. "2573 6TH FIELD ENGINEER SQUADRON, ROYAL CANADIAN ARMY CADET CORPS" will appear in the search.

  • The form will be automatically emailed to us when completed.

  • If you are unable to complete the online form, we can assist you when you visit us.

Civilian Volunteer Applications

How do I become a Civilian Volunteer?

​

  • Obtain a Canadian Police Record Check / Vulnerability Sector Screening (PRC/VSS) by filling out this letter and presenting it to the police department that is located in the jurisdiction where you currently reside (RCMP, West Vancouver Police Department, Vancouver Police Department, etc.)

​

  • Send the following to supportcommittee@northshorearmycadets.com:

    • Photocopies of the front and back of two pieces of government issue identification, and

    • A digital head and shoulders photo of you on a plain background (this is for your Volunteer Identification Card)

Cadet Instructor Cadre Officer Applications

The purpose of this site is to inform current cadets, prospective youth and their parents about the basic function of our squadron and the various events we participate in.
